Myriam Schmell is the Senior Vice President of Sales for Epiq Systems.  In her role, Myriam is responsible for leading the electronic discovery and class action business development teams, developing new market strategy and advising on project solutions.

Prior to joining Epiq Class Action and Claims Solutions, Myriam served as the Vice President of Sales for LexisNexis Applied Discovery, a leading provider of electronic discovery services to law firms and corporations. During her tenure with LexisNexis she worked with law firms and corporations across the country to implement discovery strategies.

Earlier in her career, Myriam practiced law in the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights group of Venable, Baetjer and Howard LLP, in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area where she specialized in complex Chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy cases representing both debtors and creditors.

She is a member of the New York, Maryland and District of Columbia Bar Associations. She received her J.D. and B.A. degrees from the University of Baltimore.
