Epiq and ALM to Host Complimentary Webcast on Status of EU-US Privacy Shield
London and Kansas City, Kan., May 3, 2016 — Epiq (NASDAQ: EPIQ), a leading global provider of integrated technology solutions and services for the legal profession, today announced that on Wednesday, May 4, it is partnering with ALM’s Corporate Counsel magazine to host a webcast on the status of the EU-US privacy shield and the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the EU. Jayne Rothman, Epiq’s senior vice president, general counsel and secretary, will discuss the topic with Dyann Heward-Mills, head of the data protection and cyber security practice group at Baker & McKenzie's London office. The session—titled “Turbulence Under Privacy Shield”—begins at 5 pm GMT/12PM EDT.
The complimentary webcast will review the current status of Privacy Shield and the GDPR and what organizations should be doing now. Epiq will also be sponsoring an additional webcast on June 8, which will provide an update on the then-current status of EU-US Privacy Shield and a deeper dive on compliance and next steps for organizations affected by the new program.
